1. Introduction

Welcome to South African Yachties (“we”, “our”, “us”).

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, services, forms, communications, and any related services provided by South African Yachties.

South African Yachties provides administrative assistance and advisory services relating to:

  • Visa applications and visa renewals;
  • Seafarer and seaman’s book applications;
  • Documentation preparation and submission assistance; and
  • Related yacht crew support services.

We are not a government department, embassy, consulate, immigration authority, or visa-issuing body.

3. No Guarantee of Visa Approval

South African Yachties does not guarantee:

  • Visa approval;
  • Visa renewal;
  • Visa processing times;
  • Employment placement;
  • Employment offers;
  • Job interviews;
  • Seaman’s book approval; or
  • Any outcome from applications submitted to third parties.

All visa and immigration decisions are made solely by the relevant embassy, consulate, immigration authority, or government agency.

Any advice provided by us is based on information available at the time and should not be construed as legal or immigration advice.

4. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

  • Provide complete, accurate, and truthful information;
  • Submit requested documentation within required timeframes;
  • Inform us immediately of any changes affecting their application;
  • Attend appointments when required;
  • Comply with all applicable immigration and visa requirements.

The client acknowledges that inaccurate, misleading, incomplete, or fraudulent information may result in delays, rejection of applications, or legal consequences.

South African Yachties shall not be liable for any losses arising from inaccurate information supplied by the client.

5. Fees and Payment

All fees are payable in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Invoices must be settled within the period specified on the invoice.

We reserve the right to suspend or discontinue services where payment remains outstanding.

Government fees, embassy fees, courier fees, translation fees, medical examination fees, and other third-party costs are separate from our service fees unless expressly stated otherwise.

6. Refund Policy

Service fees paid to South African Yachties are generally non-refundable once work has commenced.

Refunds may be considered at our sole discretion where:

  • No substantive work has been performed; or
  • A cancellation request is received before processing begins.

No refunds will be granted due to:

  • Visa refusals;
  • Delayed processing by authorities;
  • Changes in immigration laws or policies;
  • Employment opportunities not materialising; or
  • Client failure to provide required information.

Third-party fees are non-refundable unless refunded by the relevant third party.

7. Processing Times

Any processing times provided by South African Yachties are estimates only.

We do not control the timelines of:

  • Embassies;
  • Consulates;
  • Immigration authorities;
  • Government agencies;
  • Courier companies; or
  • External service providers.

We accept no responsibility for delays caused by third parties.

8. Employment and Recruitment Disclaimer

South African Yachties does not guarantee:

  • Employment;
  • Job offers;
  • Interviews;
  • Earnings;
  • Career advancement; or
  • Placement onboard any vessel.

All hiring decisions are made by employers, recruitment agencies, vessel owners, captains, or management companies.
