South African Yachties – Refund and Cancellation Policy


The following is a detailed description of when a refund is due on our service fee for Seamans visa
applications and when the fee will be forfeited. Please note: fees that are paid, for courier services or
visa centres that are not utilized can be refunded in full.

  1. Refund requested after document list has been sent – Your fee cannot be refunded but it
    can be kept as credit for 1 year from the date of payment.
  2. Refund requested after client’s visa documents have been checked on cloud storage repository – Your
    fee cannot be refunded but it can be kept as credit for 1 year from the date of payment.
  3. Refund requested after application file has been finalized by visa agent and is ready for
    submission – No refund.
  4. If a visa is denied due to the client being untruthful or submitting any forged
    documentation – No refund.
  5. If the client has a visa denied because of an invalid passport, or if the passport does
    not have enough open pages – No refund.
  6. Applicant wishes to withdraw their application after documentation has been delivered
    to SA Yachties and/or meeting with any staff from SA Yachties has taken place – No
    refund.
  7. The visa is not valid for as long as expected – No refund.
  8. Payment has been received for a seaman’s visa application and you lost your job along
    the way – we will credit the fee paid which can be used for the new application (less any
    other fees we incurred during the process).
  9. Visa issued is not for preferred duration – No refund. We are not able to control what
    decision the consulate makes on individual files. This is a risk you take with any visa
    application.
  10. Applicant no longer intends to use their visa after it is issued – No refund.
  11. Applicant cannot get all documentation needed, after confirming they can – Your fee
    cannot be refunded but it can be kept as credit for 1 year from the date of payment.
  12. The consulate decides that they cannot issue a visa due to unforeseen circumstances /
    circumstances out of their control i.e. nationwide/worldwide pandemic – No refund.
  13. Visa issued is not a tourist/transit visa – No refund. We are not able to control what
    decision the consulate makes on individual files. This is a risk you take with any visa
    application.
  14. Payment is made to Sayachties during covid-19 and you no longer wish to continue with
    the visa process – No refund. We will credit the fee paid which can be used for your next
    Schengen application (less any other fees we incurred during the process).
  15. The visa process takes longer than expected due to delays (consular/courier etc) – No
    Refund.
  16. Appointments are not available/ cancelled due to ever-changing covid-19 travel
    restrictions. – No refund.
